After significant hiatus, the veteran Northwest rapper formerly known as Shaolin releases his sophomore solo album The Gateway Drug under his new handle, Shao Sosa. The project is being released under his label Razor Tongue Music and is led by singles “What Time It Was” (now available on itunes) and “Undeniable”. The album features vocals from all star crooner Arjay and the young upstart M-Status who both shine on hook duty. Production is handled by a global variety of beatsmiths including Tyrant, Charlie Ray, Terminill, Nuno, Bryson Foster, P.I. & Dizzy P, and On One (who also contributes a vicious rap cameo on Ours for the Taking). The record is rounded out with blazing verses from Tacoma heat spitter Illizm and Compton veteran Big Tupp.
